 I dont know any Jews nor any Palestinians.The nearest I ever came to knowing what goes on there in Israel was from the mouth of the most decent of an Irish girl who spent some time there about 30 years ago.In summary she said that the Palestinians were treated as a sub human species and humiliated daily and mistreated all of the time. a bit like the Catholics in the North but only a hundred times worse.

I do know that the winning team ,as Joe BIDEN,calls them ,in World War 2 stole their land from the Palestinians and planted the Stateless Jews there in 1948 because they had no where else to go.

The Palestinians took no part in WW2 and were not consulted in the matter,just pushed aside.

The Secretary General of the U.N. is right in saying that the Hamas attack did not take place in a vacuum.In other words it was the result of over a half century of persecution.

We are told that of the 1400 Jews murdered by Hamas recently some babies were beheaded   and young girls were raped.I do not believe this.Nevertheless it was a wrong action to murder civilians

Gaza is the most populated place on earth,about 2,5 million people living in  so=pace about half the size of Louth the smallest County in Ireland.

To bombard it with bombs day and night,to bomb hospitals and Churches,to have massive tanks fire on family cars killing all within .,to kill and maim up to 40,000 people is nothing less than a War Crime of massive proportion.

What is being done is like shooting fish in a barrell.Except that the shooting is being augmented by bombs ,artillery and tank fire,

The Israeli claim that their bombs and ordinance can differentiate between civilians and soldiers is a nonsense as evidenced by the massive numbers of children murdered and disfigured

This is total bullshit as are most of the obvious lies put out by their spokes men and women,You would have to suspend reason to believe them,for example the claim that the Palestinians have ministers over the Airforce and Navy.It  is like  saying that a few hand gliders constitutes an Airforce and a few currachs constitutes a Navy.

In short we have donkey carts against tanks and aeroplanes ,as unequal a match as could be imagined.

In my view the Israeli P.M.IS THE DEVIL INCARNATE .his Ministers and his Generals the Devils minions and his aeroplane pilots who maim and kill the starving innocent population must surely be headed for Hell

That the colonisers of Europe ,like England and France,Germany and Austria and The USA ,who put Israel there in the first place ,supports the bombing of a progressively decreasing barrell  is no surprise.

It is only a small step from murdering babies in the womb to murdering them outside it,a carnage perpetrated in all these countries.

Another President bites the dust.

  The most senior President of Dunderry GAA Club,Phil Cahill Senior died a few weeks ago,He was 92 years young,He died at home surrounded by his loving family,his wife and four children each of whom is sounder than the other

A hardworking son of Cavan,he was a  plasterer by trade and fully with it right up to the end,

He loved the GAA and,unusually for a Cavan man  was one of the people instrumental in reintroducing hurling to Dunderry when along with Mickey Daly,Ned Howley,Mary Howley.,Jim Hickey,Kat Hardiman,,Sean Weldon and a few others the ball was got rolling at  juvenile level  some time before 1986.

I can talk with certainty since 1986 as in that year ,before the A.G.M,I was approached by Mickey and asked to propose that we enter an adult team in the Championship as he figured that  there would be fierce opposition to it and he was right,

To the huge disappointment of neighbouring Clubs,who had designs on the players of the existing minor champions   and many football only supporters, the motion was carried ,but only just and the lads were delighted.

In rapid succession we won Junior championships ,intermediate championships and made it to Senior,Phil being there all the way and Phil Junior was a massive factor in that progression,.

 Dermot Dempsey and myself were summoned out of retirement to augment the gasuns and our ageing contributions were richly rewarded..

The progeny of all these people ,plus many more were and are involved still until the present.

 Around here when a person reaches old age and you enquire after their health ,if the answer is positive it might be that he is grand --he is still going to the footballs.

 May Phil be going to the footballs in heaven,I am sure he is,
