Tubridy joins the Gallery of arseholes.

Earlier this week Ryen Tubridy gave his take on the overdue apology given by the Gardai to Johanna Hayes and her family for falsely accusing them of murdering a baby found in Caherciveen in Kerry in the early 1980.'s.
My memory of it went like this.
A baby was found which had been stabbed to death on the shoreline in Caherciveen .The local Gardai called in the Dublin based "Murder Squad",which specialized in solving murders, to help.
The Gardai trawled the County Kerry to identify any woman who had lost a child or given birth around that time.
Johann Hayes had given birth to a baby ,which she said had died ,and which she had buried on the family farm in Abbeydorney ,many miles from Caherciveen.She showed the burial place of the baby.
The Gardai and the State fingered her for the murder of the Caherciveen Baby even though blood tests conclusively proved that neither she nor her married lover could possibly be the parents of the Caherciveen baby.
They fell back on the most remote theory that she simultaneously had intercourse with two men and had given birth to twins with different fathers.
They got her to "confess" to the murder of the Caherciveen baby ,with no proof whatsoever save a "confession "by her which she maintained was extracted by undue duress .Other members of her family also "confessed "to that murder.
It was then clear,and it has been since clear that the prosecution was baseless and for this miscarriage of justice the State is now apologizing three decades later.
A Tribunal was set up to examine how this trumped charge was allowed to proceed and to examine the actions of the Gardai.
The tribunal personnel in the main did all they could to destroy the unfortunate lady but gave the Gardai and the other State personnel a relatively free  ride.
Both the Judge ,all the legal personnel and the preponderance of the  actors in the investigation were from that well heeled class from which Tubs springs ,yet he had the effrontery to blame the narrow mindedness of rural Ireland .and the implied morality of the yokels ,for the miscarriage of justice.
In truth the people of Abbeydorney ,which is as rural as it gets, knew well that a what was put forward by the State was bullshit and formed a cocoon of protection around the Hayes family and protected them from all outsiders.a cocoon they have in place to this day.
Not for the first time this condescending Arsehole let his bullshit liberal philosophy that he and his ilk champion slip out ,a philosophy that he and his  privileged anti Catholic workmates spout regularly about those who live outside the Pale.
In this instance it was precisely his Dublin based bullies who did all in their power to destroy a brave and ho nourable woman.
If Tubs has any balls and I doubt it he should immediately profoundly apologize to the people of Abbeydorney and all rural dwellers for branding them as he did.
It is  no surprise to me that the reinvestigation is focusing on the murder of the child and not on the actions of the Gardai.and the State apparatus.
For far too long now the Politicians and the Courts have turned a blind eye to the misbehaviour of some Gardai and let them away Scot free with unlawful activities.
The Morris Tribunal result,the industrial level of lying that produced over a million false breath tests,the wrongful prosecution of many thousands people for non payment of fixed charge notice,the persecution of decent whistle blowers who abhor wrongful behaviour and the personal experiences people see every day of wrongful abuse of power and the bullying of the populace by certain wrong Gardai does not arise by accident.
Its grandfather can be found in the treatment of Johann Hayes.
It seems to me that other convictions secured by the Gardai Unit who investigated the the Johanna Hayes case should also be examined to see if they too were tainted likewise.
Now we have certain people dumping on the Catholic Church for these abuses of State power.Particularly some by Church of Ireland commentators.and other non Catholic politicians and journalists..
Whether it is the loss of the tithes and their traditional access to and untrammeled minority rule of years ago they miss that THEY FEEL ENTITLES THEM TO DO THIS  DON'T KNOW.
Certainly they are over represented in in the professions involving the Law.
I rarely have heard Catholic commentators dumping on Church of Ireland persons and practises but the opposite does not pertain.
Simon Harris is the Minister for Health.He is a disaster in this role .Up to 500 people are lying on trolleys each day during his watch and over a half million people are awaiting specialist appointments.
God only knows how many people will die during his watch as a result.
His tiny mind has tried to link the right to kill unborn babies to the Johann Hayes case amongst others.  The  Catholic Church had no hand act nor part in the misconduct of the actors in that case.It didn't kill anyone.
Maybe his logic is that if a child is deliberately killed in the womb it won't be there to clutter up his hospitals in later life.
I have heard it said by some that the events of the handling of the Abbeydornet case is a blight on us all.This of course is nonsense of the highest order.It is not "us all"they that had control of the Gardai and the entire State apparatus that perpetrated that cruelty and torture.It was the political establishmentand and  the legal apparatus established by the politicians
There are those who are jumping on the bandwagon that it was purely misogynistic treatment of women that was the root cause of this  disgraceful near  miscarriage of Justice,
Wrong again.
Just think of the Guilford four and Binmingham 6,where innocent men were stitched by a corrupt police force and State apparatus and later exonerated.
This was in the U.K. and we were no different .
All these guys were men,not women and I am certain that had I time to research the convictions secured here in that ERA I am sure I  could come up with more.
The same political parties that ran the show then are now presiding over a State where criminals and non criminals are murdered on a weekly if not a daily basis.
It is no wonder that they are still trying to divert responsibility from  themselves to "all of us ".

The good people.

Today was a day from hell hereabouts.The chill factor alone would knock you over.There was hateful slanting rain that cut to the bone and the leaden sky was so dark and threatening that it would depress you.Outdoor livestock were huddled against the wind and rain seeking shelter against the elements.
In these conditions I  had to head to Trim.
Now the hair is long and  untidy and I wasn't dressed the best.I walk funny as a result of a stroke endured in 2009 and with the aid of a walking stick and progress is slow.I suppose I looked as miserable as I felt.
To my amazement a very able lady of my own age, I would guess ,approached me and offered me a two Euro piece to buy myself a cup of tea and get in out of the cold.I thanked her kindly and declined.
It might have been a case of mistaken identity but there again it may not have been.
Certainly the milk of human nature still flows strongly in some.
God bless her.
I also was lucky enough to meet Pat Conway from Halltown ,who was a great friend of my uncles Joe and Tommy as a child and often helped them at the farming.
He is home for the Christmas from the States ,never lost has accent and never aged a day in twenty years.A decent guy and a huge loss to Ireland and Dunderry,which as I told someone was founded the day after God banished Adam and Eve from the garden of Eden.

Devaluation of Marriage .

In  a STATE dominated by a homosexual ethos ,under the stewardship of a homosexual Taoiseach and reported and commented on by a tame media totally fearful of standing up for heterosexual values and norms it is little wonder that such is the disrespect for the institution of  marriage that we now have two heterosexual men marrying for tax advantages.
This follows on from the lie that marriage between a man and a woman is no different than the union of a man to a man nor a woman to a woman.It is clear that they are not the same,no matter what the referendum result was.
I await the next absurdity.

Tommy Tiernan.Arsehole Supreme.

There is little doubt that the Electronic Media is totally in the firm control of Satan and his empire of evil.For example on RTE Radio today we had serial panellists ,known for their wish to enable the murder of  the defenceless unborn ,pollute a programme ,the alleged purpose of which was to celebrate the lives and achievements of note in 2017,
On the deaths of Cardinal Connell and Bishop Casey they made so little of them that were I Primate of Ireland I would bar them for life and in death from Consecrated ground.
Both their hatred of the Catholic Religion and that of the presenter  was so palpable that it could be felt in the very air that emanated from the studio.
It is no coincidence that the Justine thing was a permanent fixture on the Vincent Brown anti Catholic shambles that set out to do down Catholicism at every hand's turn.
She has found a home in the squaddie Duffy's show which abhors everything Republican and Catholic.
They had better hope that God's capacity for forgiveness is greater than mine as like the Brown fella they will be meeting him soon enough,no more than myself..
While snoozing on the afternoon of Christmas Day I think I  heard a contributor on a show presented by wrinkle puss O  Leary on RTE Radio ,another Catholic hater ,drone on about abuse by  Christian Brother
.In my  own experience the only abuse I suffered was at the hands of a lay teacher educated ,if that is the word,at University just like herself and around the same time I would say.
They really love the  sound of their own hateful voices and on The Birthday of Jesus too.Absolutely no respect .
But the worst of all was the performance of Navan creature Tommy Tiernan on an offshoot of TV3 this evening.In a display of hatred ,which ISIL would be proud of he blasphemed Christ's teaching as much as he could,liberally interspersing his sneering of the Sacred teachings with as many  curse words as he could muster ,especially the word "CUNT"
I don't know whether his parents are alive or not and whether hay are buried in the Christian rite,and  I don't know whether he is married or has children and if he has ,whether he thinks it OK to teach them such language and feels proud to let them see such performances ,but in my book he is a disgrace to humanity a bigot of the most extreme type, a man  unfit to rear children if the language he uses in the Show is used at home in front of them and the biggest disgrace of an excuse of a creature yet to go into exile from Navan.
I think he lives in Galway.They are welcome to him down there.
That the two biggest Stations chose to revile God and his Church and His  Teachings on the occasion of his birthday must have Satan and Hell rocking.
Soon enough Satan will be welcoming the programmers and presenters into his Kingdom of Evil.

I know that those currently running the GAA Club are not long enough hereabouts to appreciate the sort of responsibility they are momentarily in charge of and the traditions they are charged with nurturing and continuing to protect.
Today at Christmas Mass I spoke to a man in his seventies who ,although he does no longer live here has never missed Christmas Mass here since his parents died.He is Dunderry to the backbone and so were his parents.
At 16 he played with the Intermediate Team ,which was the prime football team at the time .His father was still playing.
I asked him had he played with Francie Tuite who I think is the oldest living ex Dunderry footballer.He said he hadn't.I suspect that Tim Coffey might be the next oldest and I asked had he played with him, but Brendan Rogers and Paddy Conway may be older
.He said he was coming on the team at the time Tim and the Major Cregan were in the backs and the Goat Stanley was in goals.
Such was the reputation of these guys throughout the County that every forward line in the County feared them thoroughly.
Our man told me that he himself was afraid to play with these Dunderry legends,even though they were on the same team.
Incidentally I think  I  saw young Pat Conway and a clatter of Dooleys at Mass today.
Home really is where the heart is.

Longest living ex Dunderry Player under pressure.

Nearly ninety years young Francie Tuite is the oldest living ex Dunderry player alive.If ever a man needed prayer he does.

Not much Christmas Spirit in parts of Navan.

Today I drove to Navan to collect specs from Specs savers Navan.
In I drove and parked in the  car Park alongside the Credit Union  the town centre side of it.It is opposite the Shopping Centre on Kennedy Road and seems to be in private ownership.
There was a little queue to get in and the owner or  manager,I don't know which , had the manners to get me a two Euro ticket .I parked and went off about my business.
I am very visibly disabled and cannot walk without walking stick.Even then I HAVE A PROFOUND LIMP AND AM AS SLOW AS A SNAIL.
Additionally my left arm is fairly useless and is always swollen and visibly so.
I say this because when I returned to my car I was verbally artttacked and intimidated by the owner /manager who maintained that I was in huge trouble because I was an eighth of an inch away from the entrance  to his house and if I let the car slip that much forward there would be hell to play.
Now I was coming from the opticians and was wearing brand new glasses All I could see in front of me was a fence similar to the other fencing around the Car Park.No front door,no windows,no steps no nothing,Nor could I SEE anything prohibiting me from parking where I was..This creature then leaned across windshield saying I had overstayed my welcome by a half hour.,I would guess he won't see seventy again.
I told ;d him he was not a nice guy at all.He retorted that he n most certainly was not.
NOW I have noticed since I got my stroke and  am disabled that there are certain people,usually small men ,who tend to pick on people like me in the knowledge that I AM UNABLE BECAUSE OF MY DISABILITY TO DEFEND MYSELF.
These cowardly little shits would never pick on fully fit and functioning men for fear they might get a belt back.
IN MY EXPERIENCE SUCH WAS THE NATURE OF THIS LITTLE SHIT.
He either owns or manages the car park beside the Credit Union and seemingly lives in a house the Credit Union side of it through the fence according to him.
I take solace in the Biblical saying that it is harder for a rich m,an to get into the Kingdom of Heaven  than for a camel to get through the eye of a needle.

Death of Lilian Weldon ,Churchtown,Dunderry.

Anyone who has in the past habituated the streets of Dunderry and Churchtown in particular in recent years cannot but have come across Lillian walking her dog regularly on the roads .particularly on the Retaine Road ,which even today is fairly quiet.Day after day and season after season she graced these roads.Most of us knew she had cancer and all of us hoped that she would overcome it.Certainly you felt that such was the exemplary life lived by this lady that God would have to cut her some slack.And if there is anyone sounder nor her husband Mickey I have yet to meet him .The Weldons are amongst the most decent of people and their big kids now Ronan and Paul  are cut from  this cloth.
She was a Shiels from Kilmessan abnd I hear that her father was killed demolishing Trim Jail  in the 1950.s but might be wrong.
She hasn't been around in recent months and while there is no convenient time to die it is my understanding that it was not unexpected .
Her neighbourly chastisement of Dot over her wandering hens and Dot's over  Lilian's snooping dog are long since forgotten and I spotted Vince out today tidying the hedges and road on the funeral route.
She couldn't but have good neighbours as she  herself was a rare one.And I hear that they did all they could for  herself and Mickey in recent months.
Personally I didn't know her very well but as there is no such thing as a bad Weldon I know from her demeanour that she was of he highest  standard and the most decent of women.
She is being waked tomorrow Wednesday from 2.00 to 9.00 in their house in Churchtown and will arrive in Dunderry Church on Thursday at 30 minutes past Noon for the Funeral Mass.

Return of Penal Laws in Ireland.

The Penal Laws ,enacted in Ireland when the British Empire was at its zenith prohibited the celebration of Catholic Masses and placed a bounty on the heads of Catholic Priests.
Saint Oliver Plunkett was hung,drawn and quarted as an example.
Nowadays the Esquire from Enniskerry and the entire Fine Gael,Fianna Fail and Sinn Fein establishment ,to name but a few,are set to make it an offence for anyone to have any alcoholic drink on them at all when driving.
So any Priest who has celebrates Mass that day can be done by any policeman who has a mind to if he is driving from Mass that day..
These shower of shits ought rot in hell.

Government hell bent on closing down rural Ireland.

You just have to listen to the Esquire from Enniskerrry --Minister Ross---and his Taoiseach Leo plus 6 years--him and his Castleknock neighbours live six years longer than the people of Blanch and Mulhuddart just across the M50.--talking for a few minutes to realize that they inhabit a different planet than the people of the other Ireland ,with which they have no empathy ,as they gaze down from their ivory towers on rural and provincial drones who pay their inflated wages and keep them in luxury.
In Dunderry ,where I live there is not and never has been public transport of any description.The nearest bus stop is 6 miles away in Navan or Trim.
We are fierce lucky to have a shop and two pubs.The local Hall has closed down after being opened continuously for over 70 years.
Most evenings the place is like a ghost town and were it not for the local GAA Club we might throw our hats at it entirely.
Since the death of the Celtic Tiger many dozens of our people have taken the boat or the plane and if they return at all it is only for a holiday or the death of a family member..
A lot of the misery was and is being inflicted by power hungry politicians who have demonized cigarettes and are now demonizing alcohol.
This is being done on the advice of the medical profession who in general suffer from A God Complex and regard themselves as superior to us mere mortals .
Not all of them mind you but enough to have influence.
I will say no more about this than to point out that Hitler despised smoking and drinking,as well as anyone who didn't fit his view of what a proper Ayrian ought look like.
It is a sad day when the difference between Fianna Fail and Fine Gael is indiscernible and it is impossible to distinguish one from the other and there is a de facto governing agreement between them.Bad for democracy.
And Sinn Fein ,with the physical activists taking time out ,are morphing into what the Workers Party became.
If you doubt me just listen ti one of these new fangled members rabbit on about whatever takes their fancy.
Put the clock back 20 years and you will hear pure Sticky  propaganda.

One brutal Week.

Early this week I had business in Trim and drove in .I followed a few cars into the car park behind Brogans Hotel.The place turned out to be full.The cars in front of me had driven down to the far end of the car park before this became obvious and had to reverse back towards me to enable entry into a turning space.I signalled to the car behind me to reverse also.
Well the passenger got out of the car and subjected me to the most vile and foul mouthed oral abuse I have heard for some time.This he did in the presence of his lady friend and child who thought it great fun.
The fact that I am disabled encouraged them more.The car they drove was a Longford Registration and unfortunately I hadn't my phone to ring the Gardai,
Midweek I was in Navan Hospital on business.I witnessed a male orderly pushing a frail and clearly very sick old man down a corridor.The orderly asked the old man his name.The old man gave his name and address in Irish.The orderly thought this hilarious and boomed out for all to hear"We don't speak that foreign language here.We only speak English".

I wonder whether this cretin speaks so insultingly to all the foreign doctors who work there in c similar vein.

Later in the week I  drove past the Church in Trim towards the ring road by the Secondary school and checked the ring road out before emerging on to it .I noticed  a vehicle with blue flashing lights in the distance and with plenty of room to spare went onto the road and turned left towards the roundabout that can bring you to the Dublin Road.
As I  went to enter the roundabout I looked in my mirror and saw that the vehicle with the flashing lights was directly behind me No siren I  stress.
Thinking it was an ambulance I went through the roundabout and pulled into a lay by the Navan side of the roundabout to enable the vehicle pass,doing as I thought my civic duty,
Instead of passing the vehicle pulled up and one of the occupants ,who was a Garda ,proceeded to berate me for making inadequate signals when exiting the roundabout and pulling in to let him pass.When I say berate I  mean he  spoke down to me as though I am a piece of shit.
I bit my tongue and told him he was not a nice guy.
This is no country for disabled pensioners.
I am reminded of the spake peculiar to Cavan that ""Some people are as ignorant as the pig that ate his own bedding."
Unlike the female Dub.who took exception to being told the following words ,Iwould be delighted were any woman  to say to me "You look so well I'd nearly have sex with you ".

Like Grandfather like grandson

The present graveyard in Dunderry was gifted by Pat Darcy deceased to the Parish when Father Flood was the Parish Priest.
This man was the father of John,Billy and Paddy all deceased .Cyril is the only living son and I understand that there was a short lived daughter Marcella,who died either at birth or shortly afterward.
Any house hunter will be acutely aware that it is nigh impossible to buy a house in the Parish .
As for building a house the number of hurdles that must be jumped are limitless and soul destroying.
As it is with the living so it is with the dead.
There are no more plots available in Dunderry graveyard and those with family plots in older graveyards find it nigh impossible to get a grave opened because of County Council Regulations relating to disturbing possible ancient relics.
One would think it great therefor were a Parishioner to donate more land for use as a graveyard.
Well Willie Darcy ,a grandson of the aforementioned Pat has offered a plot beside Retaine graveyard to Meath County Council For FREE and guess what.They are unwilling to accept this gift.
So soon you will have to bury your next of kin outside the Parish while these officious bureaucrats do all in their power to deny  the decent folk of the Parish the possibility to be buried locally.
AND YOU WONDER WHY SUCH A HUGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE HAVE FLED THIS COUNTRY OVER THE DECADES.
Surely thee is a limit to nonsense.Seemingly not.

Death of Anne Foley,Yellow Walls.

Anne Foley --nee Sherry--- from the Yellow Walls ,Dunderry has died unexpectedly in Navan Hospital.She survived her late husband Dermot by a number of years.
The best compliment I can pay them is to say that one was nicer and more decent than the other.
The same applies to their children Catherine,Noleen,Anne,Patricia,Valery and Patrick.
Catherine,Noleen and Patrick live locally and all the family are highly respected and as honest and decent as the day is long.
Dermot never lost his Kerry accent nor Anne her Meath one
.It is only a short time since Seamus and Eugene Smith and Sheila Bird and Mrs Tim Coffey from the Yellow Walls also passed away,so there is a massive loss of decency from that Townland.
Locals will know that her son Patrick had a misfortunate accident whilst a young child and that he requires constant care since and My God he got and gets it in spades from the entire family in the home place ,especially from  Anne ,who carried the responsibility with dignity and good grace as indeed do the rest of the exemplary family .
She was one lovely and gracious lady from the very top drawer of humanity.
Her remains will be reposing in St.Joseph's Chapel of rest in Johnstown from 4.00 to 6.00 P.M. .tomorrow Wednesday 25 th October to arrive at Dunderry Church at 7.00 P.M.
Funeral Mass is at Noon on Thursday 26th October ,with burial in local graveyard afterwards.

Its beginning to make sense.

At a most enjoyable wedding yesterday I  had time to think outside the box for a few minutes and absorb the concealed rage simmering within my breast.
Taking it in age order.
One guy at my table of pension age had over half his siblings living for decades in England ,some of them having died there.
Another guy of similar age had two sons living in the States and one in Sas.The States guys were working for another bloke from the Parish and they had recently  been joined by another young lad from this Parish.UP to ten guys from this Parish socializes regularly in that part of the States .
I myself  have IRISH relations under 35 living in France,Australia and Canada.
Over 100  yeas ago 8 of my grandfather's siblings emigrated to the States never to return.
During the wedding announcements congratulatory notices were read from as far away as California,Boston ,Dubai and Australia.
One wedding guest lives in Scotland ,as does her sister.Both are under 30.
A common theme running through our conversations was the living hell being experienced by relations of people needing serious heart surgery and their inability to get to the top of the huge queues and the fear that the sick would die before their turn for operations came.
I conclude that one generation of politicians is as bad as the other and that little has changed in real terms over the years.
Membership of the EU has not changed a thing and I don't see why people are so fired up about Brexit or remaining.
As far as I can see it makes no difference whether The Brits of the Europeans pull our strings.
We still are served the same shit.
Only The clowns running the circus change .The circus remains the same.
Possibly the only way to change things for the better is to do to politicians what an uncle of mine wanted to do to referees and that is to shoot a random one every Sunday.
It mightn't be fair but would surely sharpen up the rest

Time for Catholics to leave Fine Gael.

Time was when Fine Gael was the Party of Conservative Catholicism.Take Liam Cosgrave as an example.Even though his father was the instigator of the murder of 4 jailed Republican for pure retaliatory reasons ,without the benefit of charge or trial of any description,he professed a deep Catholic Faith even to the extent of voting against the Bill of his own Party to liberise the availability of condoms.
I feel that he may have had a point in this as it seems certain that the plight of the children of lone parents is worse than that of the children of married parents and even divorced parents and the casual approach to sexual activity encouraged by the availability of condoms is an inevitable cause of the proliferation of one parent families.
One good thing about the change in values of this society however is that the supposed shame of producing children outside of wedlock is not what it was and many parents do not feel for example the necessity to emigrate to protect their secret children and have the support and courage to balls it out.
Nor do they feel the need to abort them thank God.
Anyhow back to the Blue shirts.
Not for the first time I heard a serial Fine Gael panellist from Louth named O Dowd slag off the Catholic Church for failing to ordain WOMEN into the priesthood and tie this fact into the rape of women vis a vis the serial riding of a  guy called Weinfield ---hardly a Catholic name I suggest ---of Hollywood film stars.
This is not the first time I have heard this political  non entity belittling Catholic teaching and I wonder what his beef with Catholics is.
He would be better served by getting his buddies to treat  those women of Ireland who devoted their time to rearing their  children full time as equal citizens and granting them equal pensions to their sisters who worked outside the home..
Seemingly equality only applies if you are like his leader and prefer people of your own sex to that of the opposite sex and fix  your public appearances to coincide with the nearest gay pride march.
But he is not the only Blueshirter to do his best to undermine Catholic teaching.
Another Senator called Noone is in the frame for blatantly promulgating the pro choice side over the pro life side by two members of the Oireachtas Committee she chairs on the issue of repealing the 8th Amendment of the Constitution ,which accords equal importance to the lives of unborn child and its mother,
The two members of the Committee are an Independent Dail member Mattie Mc Grath and a Senator Ronan Mullins and are so pissed that they are threatening to resign unless fair play is given.
Given that the Mistress of the National Maternity Hospital thinks so little of the lives of the ill unborn children entrusted to her care that she downplays the sanctity of their right to life at every opportunity and that a former Master is so hostile to the ownership of a Hospital by A Catholic Order of nuns that he regards their right to hold religious views ,ensure the practise of these views and their right to hold property in the same light as the framers of the Penal  Laws ,one wonders whether the men and women of 1916 and the War of Independence fought in vain to throw off the yokes of Oppression by Masters and Mistresses and hostility to Catholicism .

The sneering hostility towards Catholicism was further aired on RTE  by an academic called Crow on the Sean O Rourke show this week when she belittled the dress mode of Catholic Bishops when making the ridiculous claim that Catholicism was a parallel Government to the State in recent decades.
She ought consult her fellow legal academics on this issue and she would discover that Canon Law never held sway in this State.She will recognise them from the mortar boards, gowns and sashes they wear,
What is really worrying is that the State broadcaster would give unfettered air time to such a clear anti Catholic Bigot and that her remarks were allowed to air without contradiction.
And her sickening efforts to cloak her bigotry  by contrasting well known Catholics such as Father Mc Verry.SisterStan etc to the men with the funny clothes--an old Brit thing of divide and conquer ---speaks for itself..She did learn well indeed .
Of course RTE have form in this regard..Didn't the taxpayer have to payout defamatory millions to a Priest they accused of fathering children he didn't father.
As is said hereabouts "WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM A PIG BUT A GRUNT".
But back to ther Blueshirts.
Bruton of the thousand acres uses every opportunity that comes his way to chip away at the use of Catholic ethos in Catholic Schools ,on the basis that State money cannot be used to further religious morals.
Firstly the State generates no money.It gathers it from the populace.85 per centage of the populace defines itself as Catholic.Despite the hostility towards Catholicism displayed by people like him and his ilk this 85 per cent must surely be entitled to have their ethos promulgated in the schools.
What is being promulgated by the anti Catholic brigade is that no religion is the same as the State position. This is a huge con.And it is time it was called out.
Then we have a Minister of Health ,who IS RESPONSIBLE for heading a hospital waiting list of over 700,000 in  A COUNTRY OF LESS THAN 5 MILLION ,belittling a Catholic Bishop who dared question a medical programme he is responsible for.
I recently spent 24 hours in a corridor in an A and E.dept with a sick pensioner on a trolley along with many other elderly sick patients because the heroic staff were overworked and ill equipped facility wise to deal with the patients with the  standard of care they deserve.
Were I Simon Harris I would hang my head in shame.
As for the Esquire from Enniskerry ,he will not rest until he has denuded Rural Ireland of people, bar the super rich like himself , and drives the few remaining inhabitants into total and absolute isolation .

Glad day for Dundrrry Camogie.

The first ever Intermediate Camogie All Ireland  Medal came to Dunderry yesterday ,when Aoife Minogue played a significant role in Meath's defeat of Cork in  replayed final in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.
It is never easy to beat Cork in anything GAA and it is a noticeable scalp for Meath Camogie.
It seems a long time now since John Davis and for a while his son,took over as team manager and in that time .Meath have clawed their way up the ranks.
As president and founder member of the Club I  couldn't be prouder.
All those who kept the Camogie going in years gone bye and those currently at the helm should take a bow.
We hope that Meath will make their mark at Senior level now that they have got there.
Claire Coffey ,whose mother is descended from Aggie Commons from Betaghstown and resides in Baconstown was team captain.
Her father Matt is a friend ,except on match days when our Clubs oppose each other.
No doubt Aoife gets her hurling genes from her Beaumount mother Miriam.

Sad day for Dunderry

The old FAS logo was decommissioned some years ago.This probably was because there were investigations into how it was run at nationakl level and renaming it was peobably the best way of making people forget how badly tarnished it had become.
Anyhow there has been a Fas Scheme or its equivalent since before I  came to live here in 1986.
The people who worked in it over the years looked after the GAA grounds ,the grass cutting around the Churches and the graveyards and tidied up around the Hall.
Father Heany ,the PP at the time it was set up ,was the Sponsor of the Scheme and its unbroken run from then to date was brought to an end by the current PP  Father Hornick ,who I suppose has decided that he has not the resources to properly oversee it.
Not only has the former FAS Scheme come to an end but Parochial ownership of the Local Hall came to an end a few months ago.
At that time the GAA Club,which over a decade ago were prepared to pay E.70,000.00   to buy it and whose plans were thwarted by the objections of a vociferous minority ,were not interested in buying it.
Needless  to say the people who then objected were not recently willing  to themselves take it on.
It strikes me that as a community we are regressing and that despite the relatively significant growth in population and apparent prosperity.
This is sad.

Walk and Fund raiser for ill child well suported.

I am not on the fund raising committe for the fund raisers.As far as I can see the GAA Club is fully behind it but it is GAA friends of Swiss and his wife's sisters who are driving it rather than the GAA Club as such.
In any event I spent a few hours on Saturday last watching the people who participated in the walk/run as they passed through Dunderry.
I wqould guess that about 500 people ,men,women and children participated.Many of these were not from the Parish ,fair dues to them.
They came on all forms and shapes.Ispotted Trevor Giles among them looking as fit as ever.Swiss himself participated.
A lovely Bird --her married name---from Rathcairn pushed her child around the course.
This most compassionate of nurses nursed me during my stroke in Navan Hospital 8 years ago AND I CANNOT PRAISE HER ENOUGH.
It was particularly pleasing to see the number of men and women pushing prams around the course.
Afterwards a concert and auction was held in Rathcairn Hall.
It was well attended too and the Auction was well supported.
Thus far a raffle has been held in Kilbride school ,a non uniform day in Dunderry School,a fully subscribed   raffle in  KILMACUD CROKES AT THE all Ireland Club sevens ,the walk ,a draw,the reception in Rathcairn and the AUCTION ,ALL OF WHICH HAVE BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL.
Just shows how decent people are when the cause is right and the organisers are trusted.
I hope and pray that the fiunds raised help the misfortunate young chap in the coming times.

Disrespect for Ameican National Anthem is appalling.

I have always had difficulty spelling the word "appalling".
Of my grandfather's 11 siblings 8 emigrated to the USA between 1880 and 1920.Only one ever returned in the 1970's for a weeks holidays when he himself was in his seventies.He was a retired firefighter in Chicago.
I am grateful for the chance that the USA gave my ancestors and would never disrespect the Anthem of that Nation irrespective of whether Republicans or Democrats ruled the Country.
Three of my granduncles ,Mallons from Bohermeen,brothers of my granny fought with the IRA against the British Empie in the War of Independence in  and my grandparent's house was a safe house .
I don't know what their politics were after the end of that war but suspect that Fianna Fail was favoured.
Even though Michael Collins was one oif ,if not the most effective guerrilla fighters ,ever to take up the cudgels against a colonizing power anywhere in the world and struck fear into the Empire with well marshalled and brilliantly executed assassinations and such like at the time and became an icon for Fine Gael right up to the present I don't think that they were ever Fine Gael men .
In ant event every Irish man and woman I know.no matter what their political allegiance ,gives full respect to our National Anthem "Amhran na Fiann"irrespective of which Party or combination thereof is in power.
In other words respect for our flag and Anthem supersedes political allegiance.
We see now that certain well healed sportsmen and entainers think so little of the National Anthem of the country that suckled them and gave them and continues to give them such mind boggling incomes that they deliberately chose the insult and belittle the flag and Anthem of the Nation that gave such marvellous opportunity.
Do they not know that millions are just risking life and limb to get into a Country of such opportunity and must,as far as I know swear allegiance to the flag and Anthem of the USA BEFORE GETTING FORMAL ADMISSION TO FULL CITIZENSHIP.
Yet these ungrateful yobbos  chose to piss on the Country that is so good to them.
I am not surprised by this as the Democrats and certain beaten Republican contenders and many media concerns are unable to take their beating by Trump in the Presidential race and are stirring up hatred against him and his supporters at every hand's turn.
This combination of seditious forces are doing more to belittle the USA than all the combined enemies of the States put together.
There must be some law to bring these ingrates to account and if there is it should be immediately applied.
If not these people ought have the courage of their convictions and get out of a country they so despise,that is if any other Country would take them.

I note in passing that Cork Senior Camogie Team had a Team Mass before the Final.They won.
I note that Westmeath Junior Camogie Team climbed Croack Patrick two weeks ago.They won.
I read that the Waterford Senior Manager announced before the Senior Hurling Final that he is not A BELIEVER in Catholicism but would never the less would be saying a few prayers in the off chance before the game.They lost.

The smal ball game around Dunderry,

Well there are positives and negatives.
On the negative side we gave a walkover to Kiltale in the Senior Hurling Championship recently.We were unable to field a team.This is not good and is a first for Dunderry in any Senior competition as far as I know.
On the positive side Jamie Leavy,the son of Tommy--Timber--Leavy captained Meath Minor Hurling Team to the Minor B hurling Championship.
For the benefit of those who don't know Jamie is the grandson of Paddy Kavanagh ,former Club Secretary ,Intermediate Football Championship winner with Dunderry and Bohermeen and  REFEREE OF  football All Ireland.He is overjoyed.
The ladies too are coming good and Aoife Minogue will be playing for Meath in the Intermediate Camogie Final against Cork this coming Sunday in Croker.
Two busses will be leaving Dunderry to attend.
As President of the Camogie Club  I couldn't be prouder.
I understand that Claire Coffey from Baconstown .whose mother is Aggie Commons from Betaghstown  of our Prish is Captain.Her father Matt is a good friend.
Following on from some unpleasantness against my own Daughter Mags some years ago she now plies her Camogie trade with O Mahony's and they will be playing Dunderry in theIntermediate Club semi final shortly.
Should be interesting.
Her DAUGHTER is a Dunderry player.
As are a few cousins.
All in a day's sport.

Some tangible help for Swiss and Eadeen.

I probably have spelt the name of Damien's wife wrong.It does not really matter.What does matter is that they are in a place that anyone of us would not wish to be,but have to keep it together for the sake of their sick child.May God help them.
I have it on the best authority that some of their friends are putting their heads together to organise a solidarity fund to help them out.
When more particulars are to hand I will let ye know.

TESTING TIMES FOR SWISS AND HIS WIFE.

Probably the most devastating news a family can receive has been visited on the most decent of families with the news that their son at about 4 years old has been diagnosed with a rare and extremely serious malady.
The Church was overflowing tonight as their friends and neighbours and all who heard about the Rosary recitation crowded in and fervently prayed that God and Mary  in their  infinite mercy and compassion would see Their way to cure this most dear and loved child.
The bonds that are formed during childhood and in rural growing up were well illustrated as Brian Newman  and Donal Daly ,home from the States and England ,were amongst the may who showed up in solidarity .
Donal recently brought home his daughter to make her First Holy Communion with the Dunderry kids of which my grand daughter Ciara was a celebrant also.
We are a close and deeply caring community indeed.

Yet another burgalry.

Reports are filtering in of yet another burglary in the Parish.This time the thieves got entry via the fields at the back of the house,tranquilizing 4 guard dogs in the process and forcing entry when there was no one at home.
Clearly they had intimate knowledge of the surrounding area  AND HAD CASED THE HOUSE THOROUGHLY BEF0RE HAND.
All landowners should run from their lands all trespassers especially those whose identity they don't know.Especially those professing to be hunting rabbits or hares,whose capture is illegal in the first place.
This shit has got to stop or brr stopped.

On the bright side

Our good friend Kevin Conroy is back in town for a few days.Glad to see him around.His late father John did tremendous work in the GAA Club for years prior to his death ,particularly in selling life memberships for the Club at E.500.00 A POP ,A SUM NOT TO BR SNEERED AT.
What a pity that the promise to erect a permanent memorial and scroll to those who walked the walk has yet to be honoured.
T.Dowd Senior recently con celebrated a birthday with Ted his son. T was 70 and Ted 40.
We had roast pig,song craic and gargle and footballs and sliotars flying in all directions.
A night to remember and the very best of craic.
Reports are still drifting in of people not there getting in a few cans ,opening the windows and grooving to the warbles of the great Paddy MC Garry.
T,sang his rendition of Kevin Barry to universal approval .
In his day and time T.was to British GAA WHAT GEORGE BEST WAS TO SOCCER.
Both appear ring to play was an event and Tommy's Etna surpasses any day any of Georges women by a country mile.
Plus she has lasted the course far better too.
Tommy the ALL Star and his family and Cathy and Dolly and their families were there too.
Jimmy was in fine fettle despite his more scarce public  appearances of late.
Gerry Coogan is home from Boston  for  a special birthday party too and the Second Dunderry Judge  ,Paul Fitzgerald is home from  New Hampshire to visit his family .
On a personally low side a Bart Simpson low life has called me "lower than a knacker "while separated from me by a chain link fence at a GAA Match.I am unsure exactly who he is trying to insult,me or the travellers and fully appreciate how travellers must feel when so addressed.
I have  GOOD MIND TO TELL HIS NEIGHBOURING TRAVELLERS OF HIS IDENTITY but will keep my powder dry for a while.
The weather is brutal for making hay and I am caught with about 10 round bales on the ground soaked to the
GILLS.
I am determined however to keep at it until it is fit for bailing.
This is called stupidity.

Athboy is a fine ground and bathed in brilliant sunshine the most civil of officials had the place humming.
Not much wind sa speir and we were hoping for a good result given our missing list.
They opened with a bang and had two points up before we caught our bearings.
Bob wouldn't be fit but himself and Bomber achieved parity in midfield ,which was no mean feat with a determined Frankie Murphy giving it his all as per usual for the townies.
After 10 minutes we took over  and played with confidence and panache setting a goodish pace and edging into a 4 point lead by half time on a scoreline of 0-8 to 0-4.
Mark Kane had benefited from the corn fed steak he had clearly devoured in the States with some searing runs down the wing and I was again impressed,but not surprised  by the contribution of Oisin Martin who played with a vision beyond his years.
For four months four years ago I was a mentor with his age group and that panel was particularly talented .It is to the DETRIMENT  of the Club that a more bountiful harvest was not saved from that crop and lessons ought be learned .
In the latter half of the half our younger guns excelled to a man and had Trim on the rack.
The second half was a different animal altogether as Trim hammered us everywhere except on the scoreboard.
They missed chance after chance including a penalty which our veteran goalkeeper Jennings saved after out psyching entirely  the taker .
Jennings is like a General marshalling his troops and he is not shy in making the necessary calls at times of distress and in the last  fifteen minutes he made many wise calls.
Trim totally dominated play in the last fifteen minutes and missed score after score ofter making the wrong shooting decision but then again the luck was on our side.
More often than not in recent years they have got more than their fair share so we will gratefully accept what came our way last night.
We were way off the pace the second half and even with a weakened team it was not good enough.
But hey we are still in pole position.
Long may it last.

Apropos nothing Morgan is not the first player to field for Dunderry with Welsh blood coursing through his veins.

We do have lucky Generals and indeed corporals.

Not impressed with Leo at all.

Eight years ago this month I had a serious stroke sand survived Navan Hospital,which then had neither the machinery to identify whether the cause was either a  bleed on the brain or a clot.Nor did it stock the medicine to dissolve a clot nor had it any one trained to administer the clot busting medication were it available.
As  result of my entering the General Election campaign immediately following my discharge  the omissions outlined above were put in place so those subsequently admitted for a stroke had at least a fighting chance .
My left side was badly affected by the stroke ,my arm and hand in particular.
I was crying out for the attentions of a physiotherapist.
This month, eight years later ,the HSE SUPPLIED MY FIRST HOUR'S PHYSIO TREATMENT.
That's right 8 years later.
Now I understand that Leo the current Taoiseach spent some time working in Navan Hospital before I was admitted.
The paucity of stroke treatment hardly escaped his attention.
Did he do anything about it do you think.Well no he didn't.
He has since been Minister for Health amongst other Cabinet positions.
Has he done anything about 8 years delays in providing physio for people like me.Well no he hasn't.
Do you think that I am remotely impressed by all the razzmatazz he is putting out about himself.
Well no I am not.

I heard the Black Crow saying that were he to win the Lotto he would concrete the bog,such was his dread of futtin turf while being ate by midges.
Most people hereabouts would agree,although there are those strange individuals who would demurr.
But if threr is one job more hateful this time of the year it is pulling ragworth before cutting a meadow.

GRIM REAPER ON RAMPAGE AROUND DUNDERRY.

There were two funerals in the Parish today.Mrs,Finnegan from Robinstown's funeral was held in Robinstown Church and Johnny Gough's funeral Mass was held in Dunderry.
Last week it was  Danny Mc Gourty's turn.
And we all know a few others going through the wringer of severe illness.
Those of us who are religious ought say a prayer for the ill and their families and those who are not might find that a prayer would not be wasted either.
Having been through the mill myself I well know devastation the bereaved feel after the death of a loved one.
Religious people believe that death is a new beginning in an altered state .
I believe this although it is hard to believe in a merciful God at times of distress and overbearing suffering.

Today in Croke Park Meath beat Louth in the Leinster Junior Football Final.
Conor --Bomber--Farrell,Paddy Kenneally and Stephen Coogan were on the crew.
Not bad for a Small Parish.

Mount Mellary Monastery and quitting the fags.

I recently saw a clip on the Trappist Monastery in the Knockmealdown Mountains in Waterford and it set my mind racing back to a true story I was told by the late Maurice Kennedy with whom I once worked in the Estate Duty Office many moons ago.
That particular Office ,which was in my view erroneously disbanded  many years ago ,produced many people bordering on the cusp of genius and it is undoubtedly true that two former members had indelible and long lasting consequences for  Irish society in the persons of Yvonne Murphy who after leaving that Office produced the Report bearing her name on clerical sex abuse and John Hurley,who after leaving that Office headed up the Dept.of Finance and later the Central Bank during the implosion of the the economy of this country during and in the run up to the financial recession.
Both of these persons had left the Office before I joined but Maurice Kennedy was still there when I  joined and left.
To me he was a genius who had a massive store of knowledge on Estate,Legacy and Succession Duties at which we worked and more importantly he had the rare ability to condense the most complicated matters  into short concise paragraphs.
If he had a vice it was his love of the cigarettes which blighted his health and which he tried many times unsuccessfully to quit.
He was from Waterford and when a child went on retreat to Mount Mellary,which he much enjoyed.He appreciated its remoteness and its accessibility in particular and enjoyed the fact that it had no shop nor was near any such place.
Years later when living in Dublin he was smoking 80 Craven A fags a day and hit on the plan of signing in to Mount Mellary for a period to kick the habit.
He was s dropped off at the gates with only his suitcase and only a few  shillings in his pocket ready for the fight.
When settled he went walkabout and to his horror discovered that not only had a tuck shop been opened but that the only fags they sold were Craven A.
Another failure clocked up.
Later still this oral spray came on the market which when sprayed caused the partaking of tobacco fumes to make the victim  vomit .This worked perfectly for him and he quit the fags.
The only problem was that he became addicted to the spray ,which was more expensive than the fags and he had to go back on the fags to fix his addiction to the spray.
My father was right when he said to me on my wedding day "You just cannot win Dai".
As long as I knew him Maurice never did succeed in quitting the fags,

Killer Ass draws comfort from Human Behaviour

There is this mare ass who runs with a full jack.They do be at it.She was in full blown foal lately and I watched her like a hawk.But just missed the actual birth by about an hour I would guess.
When I came on the scene the foal was in a heap lying on the ground but alive and half licked.I got him to his feet ,all legs and wobbles and put him to his mother's tits.
Utterly devoid of any maternal instinct she proceeded to kick the head offa him.I just got him to safety before she killed him outright.
For 48 hours I kept him alive with warm milk but in the end he was so abused that he just keeled over and died despite my best efforts.
I never saw the likes of it in the animal world.
I had a word with the mare ass and asked what the fuck she was at .
Her reply stunned me.
She said she was a rabid feminist and her own bodily integrity trumped all other rights that related to her body.She was repulsed by the contact of the foals lips to her tender tits and totally felt that the stretching of her precious hide during pregnancy was revolting and her bodily integrity most certainly trumped any rights the unborn foal might have.
Had she the facility to kick the foal to death while in her womb she would have most certainly have done so but sure just a few minutes wait into its birth was just as good from her perspective.
I have named her Justine,Alison ,Kitty ,Vincent,Ivana,Joan,Ruth,Mary Lou,and enrolled her in Lucifer's Arch Bigot's and Odious Usurpers of Religion Party ,Sinn Fein,The Workers Party,People before Profit ,The INDEPENT Alliance,Social Democrats and others who favour the murder of the innocent unborn ,Parties.
Lately the jack is back at it again and even though she is being humped I see her eyeing the Bull."You hardly would "said I.
"None of your business baby.its my body and I'll do as Like to."
Being a ass whisperer is not all its cracked up to be.

Death of Jackie O Connor,Robinstown.

Former talented Dunderry Football player,puller of pints par excellence,the very best of company ,a great drinking buddy and gentleman to his fingertips Jackie O Connor has lost his short AND VALIANT  fight against the big C and has gone to met his Maker,where he will be pulled through the Pearly Gates to meet again all those he he greeted throughout a lifetime full of joy and craic and decent living.
He will be missed most by his loving wife Olive,daughters Lorraine and Jackie and son Randal and their spouses ,his grandchildren ,sole surviving sister Maura and extended family and friends who are legion.
I don't know Lorraine and Randal as well as Jackie his daughter who I coached and managed through many years of Camogie competition for Dunderry and who I hold in the highest regard as both a competitor and as a human being.
Like her father she is the real deal.
M y late uncles told me many's the time that Jackie was a footballer of the highest talent but not overfond of training.
As  a puller of pints both they I and a host of others from near and far thought the world of him and have only pleasant memories of him.
He will be reposing in 14 Rochford Manor ,Trim the home of his son Randal and his family from 4.00 pm. to 8.00 p.m Friday 28 th APRIL
The following day ,Saturday he will leave his family home at the Old Terrace ,Robinstown to arrive in Robinstown at noon with funeral afterward to Dunderry Cemetery,where he will be laid to rest beside a host of his old friends.

The shameful incidents that happened in Dunderry on Easter Monday have been broadly outlined by me in my most recent Blog.
You will notice that I named no names as I did not witness the incidents personally.Presumably the identity of those e will become clear at a later date.
For drawing attention to this outrage I have been informed that Dunderry is a corrupt place and that at least one of those who objects to what I wrote has particulars of unlawful activities which allegedly occurred in Dunderry ,the inference being that the said person is prepared to use this alleged knowledge against anyone who voices disapproval of the events that occurred,especially me ..
The sources of any rumours or unpleasantness that happens to you regarding past activities,real or imagined , will not be hard to figure.
Naturally actual knowledge of what these alleged  activities are would probably involve unlawful activity of the associates of the person making the veiled threats.
Being far from perfect myself I await developments but will not be blackmailed into silence.

Beruit visits Dunderry

Yesterday,Easter Monday evening , a vicious series of assaults involving serious injury ,as far as I know,were perpetrated on men and women in the centre of this Village,which is inhabited mainly by pensioners,who live in fear of cowardly bowsies who think nothing of terrorizing the inhabitants.
I witnessed nothing of what happened myself so I am reluctant to say anything much about the awful events that went down except to say that reports of multiple ambulances ,police cars and even a specialist Guard unit have been verified to me.
I have previously written about the prevalence of theft hereabouts and am afraid to say that there appears to be an acceptable level of theft tolerated by the decent people hereabouts to the extent that most people don't even  report it any more in the expectation that the perpetrators will never be apprehended and will walk free even if caught.
However if the level of violence on display last evening is not addressed immediately and forcibly there is no point in living here at all.
The Government and Michael Martin,instead of sneering at and putting decent Catholics down and advocating the seizure of lands and assets from Religious Orders--Catholic ONLY--- at every opportunity ought to do more to protect us from these odious low lives ,none of whom ,I guarantee ye have seen the inside of A Church for years .
It is no coincidence that Trim R,CHURCH WAS VANDALIZED  on Easter SATURDAY and despite an orchestrated campaign by the Atheists whose views hold primacy in the State broadcaster,T V 3 ,across the political spectrum and by  by some  proponents of Educate Together Schools, who treated Catholics as lowly educated gob shites who they tried to persuade to deny their religion in the recent census ,I  draw strengtht from the actual Census results , which verify that despite all the vilification heaped upon the Catholic Church by the media in general ,c.90 percentage of the populaces are still religious and consider themselves Catholic.
Its an awful pity that these thugs,undoubtedly taking their lead from the parties mentioned above, don't put as much effort into their prayers as they do into causing mayhem.
When I hear more I will let ye know.
PS.Only recently two decent Kilmessan men had their faces slashed on the main street ,from ear to throat I am told ,because they questioned the occupants of a car speeding through the Village ,as they were outside Fergies having a smoke.
Another unintended consequence of Michael's attack on smokers.But what the Hell.Another garland for the Mickser.The same Mickser that wants to shut out the Religious Orders from partucipation in public life.
What a shower of shits..

Thievery rife around Dunderry.

Yesterday between 6.00 and 7.00 p.m in full daylight a green Almeria 02 car containing two males drove onto our land in Churchtown in broad daylight and the occupants stole a Honda Generator and a  tractor towing chain.The stolen items were so far off the beaten track in  that you would have to have walked the land beforehand to even know where they were situate.
I strongly suspect that the information of the whereabouts of the stolen items was passed to these odious thieves by persons who had trespassed on the lands with broken down greyhounds and lurchers hunting rabbits and hares.
I know the identity of one of the thieves and will soon know the identity of the other .
If the Gardai do not recover the stolen items I will seek restitution personally from the thieves.
Outside of the Red Cow rural Ireland is living in Constance fear of thieves such as these who seem to operate with impunity even during daylight hours and the liberal media ,both electronic and paper based weep copious  tears for these  poor thieves and their ilk.
In the very village that I live in every house and business has been burgled to some extent or another in recent years and many many houses in the Parish have also been violated.
It is not that long since seven vans had their back windows broken their back tires slashed and all the tools therein robbed in the Village on the same night.
THE GARDAI WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO CATCH THE PERPETRATORS AND ONE AT LEAST DID TIME,FAIR DUES.
Since then dozens of houses and businesses hereabouts have been robbed and in one case at least the occupant has been terrorized by the threat of a massive butchers knife being waved in her face.The roof of the local Church and Community Hall has been stripped of lead and there is hardly a local farmer whose diesel has not been lifted.
Unconfirmed reports are drifting in that the GAA Club was burgled too in the last few days.
It is about time that the Government took its finger out of its hole and did something useful for rural Ireland instead of further persecuting the poor natives who are brave enough to continue to live there by draconian penalty for harmless amounts of alcohol in their systems.
Red Cow Ross and his city acolityes who have double Luases ,trains and boats and planes and frequent buses at the snap of their fingertips subsidized by all of us might like to swap with us for a couple of months and get a proper perspective on real life hereabouts.

Cowslip time.

For all our buddies abroad or in huge cities ,you can close your eyes and imagine  the joy the  first signs of cowslips give rise to in the heart.They are springing out all over the place,mainly in unmanured land i.e.mine.
I don't know the scientific name for them and wonder if they are unique to Ireland.
Any how they are emerging and the darling buds of May are all over the shop also.
Would cheer ya up.

Brexit.Is it much ado about nothing.

Does anyone remember the Millennium bug ? Well I do.Remember all those predictions from the creme de la creme of the expert's experts that  the world would probably grind to a halt because the computureware of the known world would probably not be able to recognize the arrival of the new Millennium and untold chaos would result.
Nearly everybody was scared shit less.
And what happened?
Well aside from the computer geeks earning a fortune tweaking programmers galore and making personal fortunes Nothing did noR did the world end either.
Nor will the exit of the UK FROM THE EU  SIGNAL THE END OF the known world AS WE KNOW IT.
It is not that long since Hitler's 1,000 year Reich was birthed and I am surprised that the EU has lasted the 60 years that it did.
Germany has been the greatest beneficiary because it was able to sell its ware into every corner of the EU AND IT HAS GONE FROM TO STRENGTH.
When we were in the shit they and the rest of our friends just screwed us into the mire as they are now doing to Greece,Spain et all.
Remember the camps set up at Calais where illegal refugees did all they could to get into the UK.because THE REST OF THE EU wasn't good enough for them.
Well expect Ireland to become the next staging post to get into the UK if it takes off post Brexit.And given its Former Empire I guess it will.
IT IS IRONIC AND WRONG THAT IN THE HUNDRED YEARS SINCE WE CARVED OUT OUR FREEDOM THE JUDAS GOATS THAT PASS THEMSELVES OFF  AS STATESMEN HAVE GIVEN AWAY OUR SOVEREIGNTY TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT WE CAN'T EVEN NEGOTIATE FOR OURSELVES OUR FUTURE BUT HAVE GIVEN THAT FUNCTION  TO STRANGERS.
We should have the self belief the Brits have and paddle our own canoe.

Dunderry GAA Club as I see it.

Theses last few years I have attended as many adult Dunderry matches as I was able to and have been so doing for many many years.
In the late 1990.'s  we had three Senior Teams in the Parish,Football,Hurling and Camogie,the only rural Meath Club to be so endowed until Blackhall Gaels joined us.
Theses last years we have just the one Senior Team ,the Hurling team and are getting it fierce hard to make the step up to Senior in Football as indeed are the Ladies at the Camogie.
I am full of admiration for the dual players who put so much effort and time and pride into  the jersey for so little reward at the end of the day.
On a personal level all my four daughters and three sons have played the Gaelic Game for Dunderry as long as they were able,reflecting the ethos of myself and my eight siblings who played for St.Brigids ,Blanchardstown in our day.
Before us again my uncles and grandfather's family played for Dunderry.My grandchildren are now involved.
So you can see the reason I regard the affairs and direction of Dunderry GAA as akin to a sacred trust that must be perpetuated in an honourable fashion ,
Getting back to 2016 the Hurlers were never going to win out as Kiltale are miles ahead of any other Club in the County and  were never going to be caught out by us.We did well to survive in 2016 and will need to be in top form in 2017 to stay up.
Our cause has been greatly hurt by the retirement of our Evan who gave it his all for the Club in both hurling and football since he was a teenager .He owes us nothing and has been persuaded to be a selector with the footballers for the coming year.
On the plus side two talented players Jamie Leavy and Tommy Conroy have graduated up from minor ranks and I expect good things from them.
On the football side in 2016 it was a case of so near and yet so far.We were beaten in a Final replay by Saint Colmcilles who went on to contest the All Ireland Club FINAL only to lose out to Westport.
Many say that we should have taken Colmcilles the first day when Graham Reilly got gate but I disagree.Both our Evan and Conor  O Shea suffered serious injuries before the replayed Final and I contend that their presence would have more than cancelled the full fifteen for Colmcilles in the replay.
In my view by far the most important player Colmcilles had in 2016 was the Rugby man Neill Ronan .who was the fulcrum of the team notwithstanding the many other fine players they had.,
Evan is gone for this year..Paddy Kenneally is again injured and Simon Carty is gone to the USA  for the year.Three huge losses and three men who were instrumental in last year's surge,
On the plus side Jamie Leavy,Thomas Conroy and Barry Calleghan's son Morgan have been added to the panel and Liamie Dempsey has has a long overdue groin operation and will be back in harness sooner rather than later,
And the lift that last years run gave us has made us believe in ourselves again ,an indefinable quality but one which is nevertheless very real.
The residual fitness we have as a result of last year's run will give us an early season edge but we will be the team to beat and everybody will be having a cut at us.
Here's hoping.
I have been either watching OR PLAYING Gaelic Games for over 60 years now and cannot understand why the Mc Entees have not given Stephen Coogan and Conor Farrell a chance at County level .They are good enough and deserve that chance..
On the Camogie front it is well past the time that we adorned the Senior ranks and it escapes me why we have failed to convert our undoubted talent into tangible  results.I fully expect this year to be the year but we will have to find more scorers than Aoife Minogue.

Miracle in Meadstown.

Last evening I drew a bale of silage from the hayshed down to the field where the cattle spend their time.Having stripped the plastic from the bale and dropped it there for consumption I went and got another bale.When I returned with the second bale I copped that one heavily pregnant cow had rolled over on her back and with her four feet in the air was in danger of suffocating.
As I was dropping the second bale so as to attach a rope to her legs on one side and straighten her up the Miracle happened and it went like this.
Another cow went to her assistance and having tried to rescue her from a few angles finally figured it out ..She put her head at ground level  at the cow's belly and pushed her over until the set of feet nearest the ground hit the ground and kept pushing until all four feet were under the cow and she was able to get up.
I believe in God the Father Almighty.
This cow has more nature in her than the combined membership of Dail Eireann especially the arrogant female spawn of Cromwell who want to resurrect his policies,rewrite history to their agenda  and seize the assets of the religious Orders without due process.
As was and is the case a SOCIALIST liberal IS SOMEONE WHO HAS FUCK ALL AND WANTS TO SHARE IT WITH EVER BODY ELSE, Brutons of the thousand acres included.

Media and Democrats are Russia's best friends.

If it is true that the USA and Russia are vieing for the hearts ans souls of the rest of the world and it probably is ,then the constant attempts of certain sections of the USA media ,the defeated and ungracious Democrats and a dysfunctional E.U.to undermine the democratically elected President of the USA must be sweet music to Putin and indeed the Chinese.
They are doing the jobs of Putin et al by frustrating the President and his Government in making the USA ungovernable.
In my view all Putin has to do is sit back and let these seditious traitors bring down the President and sink America into civil war,which appears to be their aim.
I have never been anywhere much but better travelled people than me have informed me  that New York and indeed London might as well be anywhere at all in the world as the majority of the immigrant inhabitants haven't a patriotic bone in their bodies and aside from turning a quick buck have no loyalty at all to America and BRITAIN.
It is no surprise therefor that the sneering and condescension towards  those who voted for Brexit and Trump are based in these unpatriotic bastions of selfishness and greed.
A few turns of military duty in Afghanistan and anywhere in the Middle East would do them no harm at all to these whinging know alls and they might find the opportunity to meet a few Cossacks up front and personal informative and educational.
Instead of pissing on the Country that gave them succour they should support it.
Of course the ludraman Blue Shirt Taoiseach and his acolytes who has presided over mass emigration and unprecedented homelessness has seen fit to lecture the God's man on earth and stigmatize all our ancestors for the sort of society we were and are.
I m proud of my ancestors and the sort of people they were and are.
The little they had they shared with the less fortunate,often going hungry themselves and wherever they dipped their wick they paid for the oil.They put nobody into institutions nor wre they cruel to others.
A number of them took on the might of the Empire so as we could decide our own futures as a sovereign Nation.
If thy thought that Blueshirt ludraman Kenny was going to sneer at the sort of society they fought and died for was to be vilified by this ignorant excuse for a man I doubt they would have bothered.

Circle of hate at it again.

Having pissed on the grave of  Cardinal  Connell by their pointed absence from his funeral the political establishment ,led by a  Taoiseach who according to ex Minister Shatter has only a passing connection with the truth, and who is in a Cabinet some of whose members invent conversations which never took place ,are again lining up to denigrate the Catholic Church ovr the discovery of human remains in the grounds of a mother and child home in Tuam,Co.Galway,led d by the charm free zone called Burton.
This is the Burton who led the Labour Party into near oblivion in the last election and who has a huge chip on her shoulder because her mother gave her up for adoption and whose parents chose not to keep her as a baby it seems.
She and her ilk want to retrospectively blame the Christian Churches for giving succour and shelter to expectant mothers and babies whose own parents and families didn't want them and want apologies and compensation for the acts of compassion and charity which was shown to them.
Of course the Labour Party which she has led to the brink of extinction is around since the time of James Connolly and was in existence  at the times when  these burials took place and indeed was in Government for part of the time  and had undisputed legal and moral control over all matters legal in the State .
Neither they nor any other of the political parties lifted a finger to help these people so the political hand wringing now is pure hypocrisy.
We can see from the repeated rape of a mentally challenged lady while in secular and State custody these last decades,some of which time the Labour Party was again in Government ,that heinous crimes are inflicted on the innocent on the sole watch of the Secularists.
She might start by apologizing for the woeful inadequacy of her own Party in this regard and offering compensation from Labour Party assets for the wrongs committed during their watch in the Dail.
As indeed might Enda Kenny.
As far as I know my own people did no wrong to people in unfortunate circumstances over the centuries ,in fact they only did good and ENDA kENNY HAS NO RIGHT TO APOLOGISE ON BEHALF OF MY PEOPLE NOR INDEED MILLIONS OF OTHERS FOR WRONGS INFLICTED BY A NEGLECTFUL STATE WHEN HIS PARTY WAS IN POWER.

Zappone lives in parallel universe.

Today I heard Zappone saying a number  of things in relation to the malfunctioning agency called Taulsa she heads up and for whose actions she is responsible .

A.She had directed the destruction of electronic records relating to the false branding of Mauce Mc Cabe as a child molester.
B.She was setting up an investigation into the operation of Tulsa which is clearly unfit for purpose and worse.

Now it appears irrefutable that shredding of electronic records which may be needed in inquiries to come to follow the sequence of events and who did what is as stupid an action as it is possible  to do.
Just look at the furore being caused at the prosecution of Fitzpatrick by the Corporate AFFAIRS PEOPLE where documents were deliberately shredded.
C,She said the secrecy in withholding information about the false sexual allegations against Mc Cabe was the reason she didn't tell her Cabinet colleagues about them and that she wished to limit the circulation of these rumours.
She sure did succeed in this didn't she.
Is there anyone anywhere who doesn't know about them

It's a great man who can mind his own business.

The above was a favourite spake of  my grandfather Auld M c Cormack and one I  have never forgotten,And how right he was.
It is one the Academic Yank Zappone who is Minister for Children would do well to heed.Just a week ago she had plenty of time on her hands to launch  A withering broadside against the democratic right of the Americans to elect by free vote their own Pre4sident and his entitlement to put in place those policies he had promised to implement.
His views were not hers and she felt free to preach sedition against him and his team.
In this she is at one with some political appointed  judges over there who encouraged by bitter loser Democrats and disappointed Republican grandee families who Trump routed ,are trying to negate the Presidential election result and appropriate to themselves the right to control American foreign policy regarding control of immigration into the USA.
All I can say is thank God seditiousthese  gob shites were not there in the 1930's  and early 1940.s .Were they so ensconced they would no doubt have allowed the unfettered immigration of German Nazis and their supporters into the USA on precisely the same logic.
But there again the Courts and their Judges have their hands dripping in blood from the countless millions of unborn Americans they have allowed into the slaughter houses they have approved of judiciallysinve Roe V  Wade  for the purposes of abortion,so the fact that they hate American democracy and the right of Americans to defend their way of life is nothing new.
Trump is right when he says that if the USA is attacked from within,as is common in Europe,that the judiciary who allow them in should carry the can.
It would also be right to say that there is no point in having a Presidential election if the Judiciary can just ignore the result entirely.
I would have thought that there are areas of influence for both the Judicial and Executive Branches in all Democracies and that the matter of immigration is entirely an Executive one.
Any how Zappone had time to consider all these matters and pronounce on them.
We now learn that within the remit of her own Department not only one but two Gardai WHISTLEBLOWERS had complaints made against then by colleagues in an attempt to brand them as child abusers and that both claims were false ,
.
Now this gives rise to number of concerns,amongst which are ;-
A    Whether any other people  against whom other  Gardai have a grudge are subject to this tactic..And how would these people know.

B.Whether anyone at all against whom a grudge is held can be branded a child molester at the whim of any head case who wants to orchestrate it.

C.Just how many totally innocent adults and children have had files opened branding them child molesters/potential child molesters/children of potential child olesters, and how many are  now in the system without their knowledge.

D.What the penalty is against those who make false/malicious/negligent  claims.

E.What the penalty is for staff who allow innocent people to be branded as child molesters.

Of course all this shit flows from the Referendum to supplant families as the main protectors of their own children and replace the State as that person.another example of group think by the political establishment and the liberal media where we were fed a load of shite and fell for it.
It is clear that the people heading these agencies and the politicians at the heads of them are totally useless at the job of work they oversee and ought immediately be relieved of their dutiesand a referendum held to reverse the result of the last one.
I have no faith whatsoever in the proposition that a American Academic who will never have kids of her own nor never did is in an  way suited  to being in loco parentis permanently for all the children of the Nation.
Nor do I have any faith in the pronouncements of a Scotsman promising his personal assurance that the repeat of branding of an innocent man as a child molester would get his personal attention and he wouldn't stand for it.
That boat has already sailed.

The 12 percent rule.

Two recent statistics have emerged which may or may not be related.
Statistic 1.

12 per centage of the population of the Republic of Ireland are languishing on Hospital Waiting lists for either Consultant appointments or surgery,This is an all time record.
The next time you hear the present Taoiseach or his predecessors mouthing off about something remember how they let this happen to us The same applies to the Health Ministers these last two decades .

This explains how some consultants and other medics  have turned into Gods and feel that they can treat us with contempt.

Statistic 2.
.About 12 per cent of the population of Ireland are not indigenous to the country.

The questions that arise are;-
3.Whether only 12 percent of those on waiting lists are non indigenous or what the percentage is.

4.The extent to which catering for non indigenous Irish has curtailed Health spending and contributed to the long waiting lists

In one part of Dublin I  know fairly well  the pursuit of indigenous culture is 1/26 th.of what is promulgated generally.This is paid for by the State.i,e the full lot of which our people get only 1/26 th.

The Parable of the Spancilled Goat.

I know a Farmer who keeps and did keep suckler cows and a flock of sheep.Even those with zilch knowledge of this type of farming will figure out that the secret to success is to have a bull or ram or multiples thereof which will impregnate the cows and ewes and produce calves and lambs.
Now one winter a buck goat which stank up to high heaven arrived on the scene and decided to stay.He soon became Lord of the Ring in  a real sense ,taking up residence in the centre of the feeding rings into which the farmer put the bales of hay to fodder his cattle and sheep 'ating  the first bit and ensuring he got his way by deft deployment of his ferocious horns which he used to devastating effect from his protected position in the centre of the ring.
Well let it and feck it said the farmer,sure he is eating sfa and doing little harm.
And so he was kept no problem and ran with the other livestock with no apparent downside.
Until the following September when the farmer found a recently purchased pedigree ram  normally bursting with health as dead as a dodo in the field with no apparent cause of death.The ram was carted off to the Knackery and the Farmer took to hiding in the ditches to keep watch on his sheep to see what was going down.
It being the season when the sheep came into season the problem soon materialized,The buck goat  was mounting the sheep and having his evil way.Not only that but he was seen a number of times putting his head under the belly of a ram in full flagrante on a ewe and throwing it upwards and flipping him backwards from the ewes gonads onto the ground .Bad enough for the ram that his coitus was interrupted but his back was nearly broken to boot.,
The penny dropped.That was how the dead ram had met his Waterloo.The farmer s couldn't risk the death of the other rams,And there was the additional problem that he didn't know whether the ewe's the goat had tipped would go to fruition and what they would give birth to.Maybe a geep or a a shoat.
His best information was that the ewes topped by the goat would abort at about a month into development of the foetus and unless the ewe was tipped again by a ram there would be no lambs that year .
This would lead to bankruptcy so the goat had to go .He gathered up all the sheep including the goat who thought he was a sheep with the intention of shooting it or giving it away but couldn't bring himself to shoot it nor could he get anybody to take the goat.
Now you will have to trust me and suspend reason and believe that the goat spoke to the farmer and told him what to do.
And this is what he told him to do,
HE SAID TO SPANCIL HIM,I.E .TIE HIS FRONT LEG TO HIS BACK LEG ON ONE SIDE ON A SHORT LEASH SO THAT HE WOULD BE UNABLE TO MOUNT A EWE..HE ALSO TOLD HIM TO CASTRATE HIM SO HE COULDN'T TIP ANY MORE EWES NOR ANYTHING ELSE FOR HAT MATTER.
This came to pass and the goat quietened down for a while.but old habits die hard and after a while the goat ,unable to mount a ewe himself ,began positioning himself behind and across the rear end of any ewe that came into season in order to stop the ram mating with the ewe.In this he became a dog,like the dog in the manger,who when he couldn't have a thing himself stopped anyone else from having it.
Anyhow times passed and the goat quietened down and became a part of the sheep's Union,happy enough in his emasculation and content to just eat,sleep and shite.And the rams,having additional benefits above and beyond the goat began to talk for the goat and negotiate on his behalf.and after a while the goat didn't know whether he was a goat,a sheep or a dog and gladly encouraged other goats to do as he had done.
And then there was talk of a shakeup which would involve the building of a wall which would cut off entirely the access of the goat and all the other sheep to a neighbours field ,which would deprive the goat and all the kin of the goat from grazing on sweetest herbs the goat traditionally had accesses to
  The goats were fierce upset at this loss of access and barely remembered that once they were full goats but had drifted into believing that were either sheep or dogs but were unsure which.
They were so supine that they sent the King Ram and the Top Dog to negotiate on their behalf,
Naturally the King Ram and Top Dog  looked after the interests of their own kind  first and foremost and put the interests of the goats at the bottom of the list of demands, to such an extent that when matters were settled the sheep and dogs had first claim on the sweetest of grasses and the goats yet again got the hind tit and the race of the goat withered because they no longer stood up for themselves ,nor indeed did the buck goats stand at all in the most in important of organs and after a whiles ceased to exist as a species.
That is what happens when a breed surrenders its mojo to other breeds and becomes supine.
Now guess who is the willing emasculated buck who is leading his breed into extinction and put a name on the neighbouring farmer and also identify the Queen Sheep and the Top Dog.
And to top it all a withered Auld Nanny goat still living off the full milk of her own species ,whom she has long abandoned to mix with the elders of the sheep and dogs whose views she regards as much superior to those of the goat ,has shown her disrespect for another much bigger and successful farmer who regards the right of the goats to speak up as just valid as her frequent mutterings and regal pronouncements and labeled him a bully.
Free speech seemingly is SOLELY  the perogative of withered Nanny and anyone who opposes the views of Big Bird is only a bully seemingly SO IT OK TO PREACH SEDITION AGAINST HIM IN HIS OWN FARM AND TO AGITATE HIS ANIMALS TO BURN DOWN THE STY WHICH THE FARMER PROVIDED FOR THEIR EDUCATION,
It is just as well that Humans do have a sense of decency and fair play and don't behave as animals do.
Having said that there is no animal I know of that deliberately kills its own unborn routinely ,this being the sole preserve of some of the human race.
Ya couldn't make this stuff up.

Dunderry man refused entry to USA.Taoiseach doesn't give a fuck.

Of my grandfather's family 8 of the 11 siblings went there never to return so nothing new there.They were glad to get out of this country and have a life.
The Irish politicos then and until now were savvy enough not to lecture nor look down their noses at the American political system seeing as how they were so incompetent themselves that they couldn't give a decent  lifestyle to our own indigenous people and they left by the new time.
The tide has been and is one way save for the odd academic know all who has arrived here to impose their own hedonistic lifestyles on us ignorant deplorables ,seeing as they have done their best to fuck up their home nation and now use their so called Irishness to preach sedition  against their mother land.
In this they are well supported by the liberal left ,who are generally useless at everything and must be genetically related to Diarmot MORROUGH who sold out his bitrthright an gave away his own daughter for personal power.
In any  event Margaret Thatcher was in power in England and Regan was President in the USA  and they had  a special relationship which meant that had you a British Passport you could bypass the VISA requirement an get straight into the States ,no problem.
Now our man was jobless and wanted out,Visas WERE LIKE GOLD DUST and took ages to get.
He wasn't alone in this and it was embarrassing to look at the queues of hopefuls snaking around the American Embassy every day .

That phrase was fierce appropriate for emigration to the USA as his Blue shirt /Labour Government were economically clueless and unemployment was out of control and they were glad to have this release valve so the" Out "mantra was the perfect escape route for them.
Garrett wasn't vain enough nor stupid enough to lecture the USA on how to conduct their business unlike the ludramans in labour and the Blue shirts now who can't even provide housing for our own people and feel free to lecture the elected leader of the free world on how to conduct his business.
Bu nothing should surprise us ,These gob shites felt Free to lecture the Pope on how to run his religion and are actively hostile to Catholicism and utterly hate the living unborn and salivate at the prospect of killing more and more of them.
It is blatantly clear why nera whisper of protest was raised in the eighties against American Policy on emigration and why every upstart is seething now,That reason is that those in power here think nothing of the indigenous Irish Catholic but venerate the refugee Muslim ONE LEGGED lESBOS and other guests of the Nation who they have allowed to take over our country.

Bob's Boulevard.

Meath County Council are currently laying down a footpath from the Village of Dunderry down to the Graveyard.Not before the time you might say and I know that no one lobbied more vehemently for it than Nancy Horan.
But Bob Lee ,God Bless him was also a fervent supporter of such a pathway.
For those more recently arrived in Dunderry ,and there are many,Bob lived the far side of the Graveyard from Dunderry,the first house on the left after it.
Bob was a Galway man who spent much of his working life in England and returned here with his wife Etna and three fragrant daughters in the latter years of his working life,never actually retiring until stricken with a stroke which downed him entirely.
He was the strongest man I ever met and in a place renowned for strong men that was no idle feat.He could lift two full barrels of Guinness side by side with one hand .
Bob liked a pint of Guinness and told me that one reason he chose to live where he did was because the house was beside the Village and within walking distance of two good pubs and I would say that Horans was probably his favourite being slightly nearer his home.
With the drink driving laws that have contributed so much to the devastation of the pub trade in rural Ireland and to the devastation and emptying of it ,he was afraid to chance driving home with over two pints on him and used risk life and limb walking the half mile home on an unpaved and unlit road.
He frequently wished for what is now being constructed.
Too late for Bob but I like to think that he is beaming down from Heaven satisfied that his word with the Man had a big bearing on the matter,
