Reports are filtering in from concerned parishioners of the bullying and intimidation of a highly respected community and GAA leader by a member of the Gardai Siocana ,who it seems ,when all other intimidating tactics failed,resorted to forcing the most upright and law abiding of citizens of taking a breathalyser test in front of infant children in the middle of the day when it was patently clear that no drink was involved.
In other words it seems that when no unlawful activity could be found by the Garda in question the breathalyser was produced to break the will of the citizen and humiliate the person in front of the neighbours.
Not satisfied to relent on the bullying and intimidating tactics it seems that this outrageous behaviour continued until the person and the young children were reduced to tears and totally distraught.
The person involved is fearful of taking the matter further for fear of further harassment and my information comes from a concerned citizen.
In Lourdes soon I will be praying for guidance on whether to publish the name of the Guard in this blog.
