Word has just filtered through that Dermot Foley ,Yellow Walls,Dunderry ,has slipped away to Heaven's peaceful pastures after a period of suffering stoically borne. This most decent and shy man, whose Kerry accent would put many Kerrymen in the shade ,was loved by all who knew him, especially by his wife and family ,who nursed him at home through his final months ,weeks and days with a love that was awe inspiring.
We will prepare a fuller tribute later.
His remains arrived in Dunderry Church this (Saturday ) evening at seven and will depart on Monday after Mass at Noon to Dunderry Cemetery ,where the grave was dug today by a massive crowd of neighbours and friends.
As a mark of respect a trophy giving ceremony due to take place in the hall by the Camogie Club was postponed to a later date.
