Yesterday myself and two friends attended a funeral in Carrickmacross.We came home through through Kingscourt AND DECIDED TO STOP THERE FOR A FEED.
Paudge knows his onions and shepherded us into an eating house situate where the road from Carrick joins the Main Street in Kingscourt on the right hand side as the roads adjoin.
An entrance to the cattle mart, which was in full swing, is opposite the joint.
We had four courses of soup ,meat ,spuds ,chips and veg,succulent dessert and coffee.
Enough to fill Joe Higgins in his prime,GOD REST HIS SOUL. AND FOR FIFTEEN EURO A HEAD.
