Vandalisation of Robinstown Church.

Robinstown Church is a small well attended Catholic Church and could be described as quaint,I go there often.

The front of the Church is adorned by a number of lead separeted small glass panel windows which are pleasing to the eye.

There is a small car park in front of the Church to facilitate the parking of vehicles of attendees of the various Church ceremonies.

There are thousands of acres of farmland in the Parish and a very well run GAA Club in Dunderry for youths of all ages.

Recently some youths used the car park as an exercise space for hurling ,it seems and used the windows for target practise..

Thet broke many ,many panes of glass and they had to be replaced at considerable cost to the Parish.

Neither the culprits nor their parents have come forward to admit responsibility nor offer compensation.

This is not good enough and  in plain language is a desecration of a place of God.

It is my guess that the perpetrators neither sttend Services in the Church nor have their parents taught them respect for the House of God nor the feelings of their Catholic neighbours.

N o social solidarity by them.
