The difference between GAA and Rugby.

Last Saturday was a great day for sport on the T,V.

In Croker we had a double bill,in the latter of which the Dubs nearly caught Kilkenny on the hop.

Later that day I  switched on the BBC to watch Irelsnd shit on the traces and be hammered by France in rugby..

One hundred years ago British forces drove into Croke Park and machine gunned to death dozens of playhers and spectators attending a football match between Dublin and Tipperary.

There was a memorial flag there yesterday in sympathy  with the murdered and their families.

What happened on that Bloody Sunday was barefaced murder by the British Forces.

Yet we had Paul O Connell, rugby hero celebrating the British Forces in times past by wearing the Poppy.,the symbol of support for the Brits.

The man must have a brain and know full well that he was celebrating, inter alia , those murderous scum  who mowed down innocent people attending the match on Bloody Sunday..

So mutch for the working class Limerick base who are the life blood of Munster Rugby.,if the Poppy O Connell is anything to judge them by.

If I  am not mistaken there were many Rugby people who took the side of the Brirs and the Black and Tans during the War of Independence and nearly none who fought for a free Ireland.

Now you know just why Croker should never have been opened to Rugby and just why I  regard Sean Kelly, former President of the GAA AND HIS SUPPORTERS AS RENEGADES.

Presumably he will be ringing the Poppy and thanking him for his support.

I  cannot comprehend how any true Gael can either support or play Rugby when one of their icons has such a mindset

.
