Dunderry GAA News update August.

With the fierce shortage of money in circulation the Club had to come up with something novel and cheap to restore the coffers. It did and a barndance was held in Geraghty's barn last weekend.Admission was a tenner and grub could be bought in the shed. All told a net 4,500.00 was raised and all entertainment was local.A great success and good thinking.
We are in an intermediate  hurling quarter final tomorrow and win or lose we will still advance. We are short a number of vital men due to injury and the remainder willl have it all to do to win.
The intermediate football championship quarter final is fixed for next Saturday evening and to progress we must win.
According to my sources ,we were extremely lucky to beat Syddan in the last match and a huge leap in performance will be required to win next Saturday.
My sources tell me that David Mc Cormack,Evan Stephens,Peadar Callaghan and especially Stephen Coogan were ouystanding.Andy Coogan also had his moments. As I write a number of vital players are injured but we hope they will recover in time.
