Some people ( and Countries ) you just can't help

The person first.
There was this woman who fell on hard times through excessive drinking. She lost all her worldly possessions and took to sleeping in an unused shed. Her neighbours and friends took pity on her and through the milk of Christian compassion took to collecting money for her in a neighbourhood emporium.
Each morning kindhearted customers took to donating money for her benefit through putting it in a mug designated for that purpose in the emporium.
Each morning when she came in the contents of the mug were given to her. There was always enough to buy a mug of tea and a sandwich in the emporium which she did.And there was always enough to buy cigarettes ,which was another of her many addictions, which she did also.
Through the rise in the price of cigarettes to place their purchase beyond the reach of the poor, the day came when there was not enough money left in the mug after paying for the tea and sandwich,to buy a packet of cigarettes.
She rattled the change in her fist and looking the owner of the Emporium in the eye she just bent down ,dropped her knickers ,shit on the floor of the Emporium and flounced out the door.
The staff and the customers were speechless and appalled.
The most generous of owners asked if anyone there was prepared to clean up the steaming mess.No customer volunteered.
He asked the staff one by one if they would clean up the mess.
Each replied that their contracts stated that this nature of work was not covered and declined.
The owner had to go down on his own knees and do the job.
The next morning the lady entered the Emporium as usual and looked for the mug.
Her expectation was not fulfilled .and the owner told her that she would no more have the previous arrangement applied to her and that she was denied access to the emporium henceforth.

Now the country....Ireland.
For over 800 years the populace of the Country was persecuted, enslaved ,the subject of attempted genocide and scattered to the four corners of the globe.
Its Catholic priests and practitioners were hunted down like wolves and hung drawn and quartered if apprehended, like Saint Oliver Plunkett.
But even in the face of certain death  many  refused to take the soup of betrayals and stood by the Lord.
And in 1916 a hand full of brave men and women declared a republic "In the name of God"  and "under the protection of Most High God "and for their trouble many were executed.
And it came to pass that the smallest colony of the greatest temporal Empire the world has ever known had its fate given back to its citizens to rule over.
And for nearly 100 years now its citizens have ruled over its territory, with the free will that is part of God's promise.
And over the years there have been many who lived the way the Lord wants and there have conversely been evil people who who sight to and succeed to enact  the law of man ,called secular law, some of which  follow the ways of the evil one.
They have sought to make it common to murder the lives of the Innocent unborn and have denied the Lords dictum on the permanency of marriage.
And the many faceted and evil  body politic, speaking uno voce, have with their companions of convenience ,including false prophets hiding in the midst of mother Church in order to undermine its teachings  persuaded a majority  of its citizens that the teaching of the Church, modelled on the family of Jesus Himself with Mary as His temporal mother and Joseph as His temporal Father  is incomplete  and that the Lord's message is a lie.
Now I call this a dumping on God's  floor  and a betrayal and denial of the men of and women of 1916.
I pray that God in his mercy will forgive me for living in a society that allowed such a thing to happen when I stood idly by.
And I pray that the scribe who describes people like me as "hate filled bigots "and that those who designate me as "unfit to live in today's society " and as a "homophobe " because I champion the Word of the Lord ,in as far as I can, repent before they meet the fate of the alcoholic woman.
And I know I am the most imperfect of men.
